Nord University is a state-owned higher education institution that provides an inspiring, high-quality learning and research environment for over 11,000 students and 760 academic staff. Its strategy is focused on blue and green growth, innovation and entrepreneurship, health and education. The Faculty of Biosciences and Aquaculture at Nord University has particular prominence in fisheries and aquaculture, with state-of-the-art facilities to perform research in genomics and epigenetics.
Nord University’s major involvement will be WP4, as task 4.2 leader, involving the compilation of various types of biomarkers and development of protocols to apply them in selective breeding programmes. Nord University will also be responsible for the miRNA analyses in task 4.1.
